23/03/2006 - Out of the blue – Cerulean arrives at Droitwich Saab
Local Saab customer Mark Newman is one of the first people in the region to take delivery of the brand new, special edition Saab 9-3 Cerulean Convertible, complete with 1.9TiD 150bhp diesel engine.
This special edition Convertible is the latest model to roll off Swedish production lines and has only just arrived in the UK for customer test drives. Mark, a former Jaguar owner, is the first customer to have ordered this model from Droitwich Saab.
Kristian Taylor, Sales Executive for Droitwich Saab, was on hand to present Mark with the keys to his new car at the dealership. Kristian said: “We have had a great response to the new Cerulean Convertible – it is a striking model and it has been turning a lot of heads in the dealership! We are delighted that customers have shown so much interest in this model and we would like to invite people to drop by to see the new drop-top for themselves.”
Mark said: “I am thoroughly happy and thrilled with my new car and the excellent service I have received from the team at Droitwich Saab – it was a great experience."
Recently launched across the UK, the 9-3 Convertible Cerulean edition has been designed to celebrate 20 years of the Saab drop-top. Currently available in Vector and Aero specifications, this model can be distinguished by a unique blue metallic paint finish, and is offered with a full choice of engines, including the acclaimed 150, 175 and 210 bhp turbocharged petrol engines, plus a newly introduced 150 bhp 1.9 TID turbo diesel. The high performance 250 bhp, 2.8 V6 turbo engine, with a lowered sports-tuned chassis, remains unique to the Aero variant.
The Cerulean specification adds just £775 to the on-the-road price of the Vector models (Vector 1.8t Cerulean from £27,979), and only £625 to the Aero (Aero 2.0T Cerulean from £31,214).
